  • archived DurhamElection2010 website as a subdomain of
  • revamped DontGetBurned website as a go-to information site about incineration
  • Bottle Drive (on-going) to raise money
  • sold tickets to concerts of the Durham Philharmonic Choir in order to raise money
  • successful Dinner/Dance fundraiser at the Garnet Rickard Auditorium on Sat May 26 

The legal action against the incinerator was continued until June when it was dropped due to its glacial pace and cost.

On an on-going basis, we are monitoring the outfall EA for the Duffin Creek Sewage Plant - Paul is a member of the Advisory Committee

To Come:

  • Standing committees – Community Action, Political Action, Fundraising
  • begin process for better electoral results in 2014 – Recall, ranked ballot in cooperation with FairVote Durham
  • Assist with campaign to keep ethanol plant out of Oshawa Harbour
  • monitor environmental issues as they arise and assist where possible
  • Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup - mouth of Tooley Creek
  • broaden our profile
  • begin development of an environmental protection fund
  • expand membership
